Lessons from the Berry Patch

PDF of the Program

In Lessons from the Berry Patch, Ethel Pochoki writes, “The berry patch is not for those who fear pain, bugs, slippery slopes and sudden storms. Berriers are adventurers vaulting out into the unknown, like apostles going off to strange lands, knowing there is a harvest to be reaped but not sure where or how.”  When Tom Hons gifted me a copy of the article, he could not have known this theme would inspire our Stewardship Campaign this year, yet it has. First – thank you Tom!  Second – I invite you – berriers and non-berriers alike, to come with memories of picking, planting, canning, baking, eating and more, as we celebrate the sweet successes of the past year. And as we, unafraid of pain, bugs, slippery slopes and sudden storms, talk about the investment needed to keep our Fellowship fertile and bearing fruit.

See you in the berry patch and on Sunday morning, Barbara
