Pancake Breakfast at the Lyle Lions Community Center
5 th and State Street, WA., SR 14
Meet-up with Bruce Bolme at 8:30 am
The Lyle Lions Club has a monthly fund-raising Pancake Breakfast at the Lyle Lions
Community Center in Lyle. Previously attended by Bruce Bolme and Dennis Carlson, they will
vouch for the yumminess. Your choices are ham and eggs, or omelets made to order by Annie
Maguire, all with endless pancakes, cooked on a grill before your very eyes. Michael Maguire
will take your money at the door–$10 for 13 and up; $5 ages 6-12, and 5 and under free.
Lyle Lions gives back to the community in many ways with scholarships to graduating
seniors, providing a community building as a warming and cooling shelter, distributing 1000s of
pounds of food at the holidays, working with local optometrists to provide glasses, weekly
lunches for seniors, and more. Our most recent special project was a remake of the Lyle
School library to accommodate younger students transferred from the closed Dallesport grade
school. And the Easter Bunny will be coming.
Masks are optional. The tables are widely spaced. There are 2 heavy duty UV-C/ION
filters in the dining room, provided to us by Senior Services. Industrial fans in the kitchen are
turned on and the kitchen is open to the dining area.
The breakfast is from 7-10 am so the dining room is rarely full. It is a very social
atmosphere with good spirit of community. We are also happy to make breakfasts-to-go. Bruce
will be eating from 8:30 am to 9:00 am but everyone is free to linger and enjoy the fun and food.
It is always helpful to contact the meet-up person if you are meeting-up with them.
