Mid-Columbia Community Action Council, or MCCAC, is a local non-profit organization focused on preventing and eliminating poverty and houselessness across Hood River, Wasco, and Sherman counties.
MCCAC operates the Hood River Warming Shelter, in addition to other housing stabilization programs. After the Rowena Fire, MCCAC has stepped in to support many households re-stabilize as a part of the recovery effort.
Community Engagement Coordinator Miriam Starrett will be sharing about MCCAC’s services and the impact of community support. Miriam’s role includes working with volunteers, supply donations, and community partnership.
