First Sundays for Families: Creation

Come at 9 AM to participate the All-Ages Popup Choir – no experience needed!
First Sundays are for Families!

Whether you used to attend a long time ago, or have wondered about us for years, today is a great Sunday to come and see what’s new.

A Story of Beginnings
This month we are exploring creation as our theme. We are not just beings who are created, but we are also creators ourselves. Life can be thought of as a process of evolution, of creation and re-creation. Our ability to create something new is a defining characteristic of being human. From certain theological perspectives, our capacity to create makes us like God. From a scientific view, it makes us agents of evolution.  However you relate to your power to create, I hope to see you on Sunday the 5th of October!

Kim Puckett, of CASS, will be with us, leading children & youth in a creative project called “the Everything Seed”.

We are all born with a seed inside us.  A seed full of potential and power.  Many indigenous cultures teach that the purpose of our lives is to tend to that seed, so that it can flourish.  With guidance from Kim Puckett of CASS, children and youth will explore this idea through a creative project.
